Today marks our 1st year Wedding Anniversary. Oh my how the time has flown. It has been the best year for us with lots of adventure and travel! Keep tuned for later posts on our recent trip to Stockholm!!

Mrs S. Wedding Anniversary

With the day that it is I wanted to share with you some ideas on how you can spend your first wedding anniversary together.

Something Old

Recreating your first date or visiting your favourite restaurant. Some wedding venues even offer a deal on returning to mark the occasion. Going back in time can really generate some good memories for you and your partner.

Something New

How about starting a new tradition for you and your partner. Dinner and your wedding movie, Dressing up and getting the whites out again, Recreating your first meal as husband and wife…. The list is endless. You guys do you! We will be opting for this in the dessert category. Anything to tuck into a box of ferrero rocher!

How I Met My Husband

Something Borrowed

Get crafty with gifts. Set a budget and possibly use the traditional wedding markers as a focal point. The first wedding anniversary is Paper! By doing it together and even adding a competitive spin on it can make the build-up to the day so much more fun.

Something Blue

How about a trip away, a 2nd honeymoon if you like. Blue seas or blue ice hues depending on the time of year. Some one-on-one time together to reflect the last 12 months and the years to come.

Wedding Anniversary

No matter how you celebrate, make sure to mark the date and enjoy it together!

  1. Some nnice ideas there – I think this is so important to mark the occasion. We’re not married yet, but we always both take the day off on the anniversary of when we got together and do something special. This year it was lunch and shopping, and we’ve also done other things like dinner in a nice restaurant, cosy night in, or a trip to a Christmas market. Main thing is doing something together!

Let me hear your thoughts!!
